Yes. The Cusco City Tour operates every day of the year, including weekends and holidays. It is one of the best experiences to enjoy during your first days in Cusco while adapting to the altitude.
The Humantay Lake hike is considered moderately challenging due to its high altitude and uphill terrain. The trek takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your pace, and includes some steep sections. A moderate level of fitness is recommended, but no previous hiking experience is required.
We recommend spending 1–2 days in Cusco before the tour to acclimatize. Stay well hydrated, eat light meals, avoid alcohol before the hike, and walk at a comfortable pace. Coca tea or altitude medication may also help after consulting your doctor.
The tour is suitable for most travelers with a moderate level of fitness. Although the trail is uphill, you don't need to be an experienced hiker. If you prefer extra assistance, horse rentals are available at Soraypampa for an additional cost (subject to availability).
Hotel pickup is scheduled between 4:30 AM and 5:00 AM. This early departure allows you to enjoy cooler temperatures, fewer crowds, and spectacular views of Humantay Lake. The tour returns to Cusco at approximately 5:30 PM.
Temperatures at Humantay Lake can range from 0°C to 10°C (32°F to 50°F), especially during the early morning. We recommend wearing warm layers, a waterproof jacket, gloves, and a hat to stay comfortable throughout the hike.

No. The Humantay Lake entrance fee is not included in the tour package and must be paid separately before entering the hiking area.
The best time to visit is during the dry season (May to September), when you'll enjoy sunny weather and clear mountain views. The rainy season (November to March) offers lush green landscapes and a quieter experience, although rain is more common.
